FAMOUS ARTIST Kofi Agorsor

Kofi Agorsor is a Ghanaian contemporary painter, sculptor, and musician based in Accra. Born in 1970, he studied at the Ankle College of Art and Design, where he specialized in painting and drawing. His career spans over three decades, during which he has become known for his expressive use of color, rhythm, and symbolism to tell stories about everyday life, emotions, and society in Ghana.

Agorsor’s work is mostly abstract and figurative, using bold colors, simplified forms, and strong lines to express energy and movement. His paintings often blend elements of music, dance, and emotion, reflecting his background as a jazz musician. The vivid color palettes and playful forms create a sense of harmony between tradition and modern life.
